I decided to create fake text messages that I would have sent when I was lost in Spain. I chose to do this because it allows me to describe a situation that changed me as well as give the plot to the story. When this happened to me, I tried to send my mom very similar texts, but they would not send so I thought it would be a good idea to recreate what I tried to send. I wanted to send someone that was not there with me some text messages so that I could give the reader some more background information on what happens. At first, I wanted to create a blog post or a diary entry, but I thought that this would be a more realistic representation of what happened to me and of what I learned. This process was complicated for me because I was trying to text like a ten-year-old would text and trying to show the situation. Creating the text messages and formatting the texts was difficult because I would forget one small detail, and I would have to redo it. I wish that I was able to have some of the text messages showing that it did not send because that is actually what happened to me, but I could not figure it out. I liked writing this essay and creating the remix of it because it allowed me to have a deep reflection on this event. I am proud of my remix because it shows the emotion that I was feeling, the plot, and it looks cohesive.
